Worcester Antique Porcelain 1st Period 2 1/2 Royal Lily Cup & Saucer Set 1783
WORCESTER ANTIQUE PORCELAIN 1ST PERIOD 2 1/2 ROYAL LILY CUP & SAUCER SET 1783. This at least Two Hundred and Fifteen year old cup & saucer set is in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Crazing. NOTE: The cup base does not fit exactly in the saucer indent. The rim of the base sits exactly on the rim of the indent. Very nice Antique Worcester First Period Cup & Saucer Set.
The colors and condition of this set are amazing for its age. These have a gilded cobalt blue band on both the cup and saucer. The Base of the saucer has the blue Crescent mark that was used from 1783 to 1792 and the Cup has the indented B mark that ways used from 1792 to 1807. They were put on loan to the Seattle Art Museum in 1981 by the previous owners. These have been very well taken care of in the Seattle Art Museum since 1981 until they came up for sale in 2022.
