This antique set of twelve 9 1/4 dinner plates are stunning. They are in beautiful shape with assorted floral patterns. The detailed gold boarders have minor wear and all flowers are etched in gold. These dishes appear to have been used for display only because of their condition for their age.
I took several photographs zooming in on some of the minor flaws when I saw them, including- partial cracks, wear to the gold etching, small stains/blemishes, and minor crazing. Ovington Brothers were china importers who were based in Brooklyn, N. In the late 1800's, they carried china from all the top makers from Europe at the time. This set is a wonderful example of Royal Worcester's artistic quality.
Could be used as plates or shallow soup bowls.
