This is an exceptional vintage DINNER SET made by Royal Worcester in famous Game Birds pattern. The pieces of this set are hand painted by Leighton Maybury. Each plate is hand painted and signed by the artist. There is a beautiful bird at the center.

There could be some small flaws, utensils marks and gold loss consistent with age and use.There are more marks and scratches on the dinner and luncheon plates. There is some dark spots on the back of the plates.
The bread and butter plates are in very good condition. Would have a place in any china collection. Leighton Maybury is a British Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1929.Leighton was a Royal Worcester trained decorator/artist. He worked at Royal Worcester until the early 1950s, when he became a freelance artist/decorator.
His work was varied and included not only "Fruit" designs, but also birds, horses, landscapes and portraiture. Leighton died in March 2013, aged 83. This is a piece that everyone will be proud to have. These charges are the buyers responsibility.
