ROYAL WORCESTER MARLOWE TURQUOISE BAND 7 DESSERT PLATES 7 1915 RARE! Set #1

Rare set of 7 dessert plates made by Royal Worcester in the beautiful antique pattern known as Marlowe. Marlowe features motifs of pink and purple roses in green baskets all around the flange, and was made with either yellow or turquoise trim and a thin band of green. While the yellow-band version can be found occasionally, it is very hard to find pieces in the turquoise-band version.

These 7 dessert plates measure 7 in diameter... This is important to know because the salad plates are 8" in diameter and the bread & butter plates are 6" in diameter; these dessert plates are the hardest ones to find.

They are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing and very little scratching or wear to the decoration. Their only issue is some yellow staining on the unglazed feet; it is tough to get the yellowing out of bisque areas on any porcelain pieces. I have even more pieces from the turquoise Marlowe pattern under separate listings, so this is a rare opportunity to acquire parts of this gorgeous antique set!
