This Royal Worcester bone china breakfast cup and saucer set features a Fox Hunting scene by the famous British illustrator.This Liverpool-born artist spent most of his life in and around Sherington, where he became Master of the Sherington Foot Beagles. The majority of his work was sporting art and he illustrated a number of books, becoming well-known for his hound sketches. He painted a series of beagling pictures and a variety of hunting scenes, working both in oil and watercolor. Made in England during between 1942-48, this vintage set has a "war years" mark on the bottoms, and includes a huge breakfast-size cup and saucer. The set is perfect for a quiet morning coffee, or a bowl of cereal or oatmeal, and is made of high-quality bone china for a durable and long-lasting piece of tableware.
