ROYAL WORCESTER 6 Cabinet Plate Set Gamebirds Cobalt 1901 Artist GEORGE JOHNSON. MAKER: Royal Worcester date marked for 1901 and signed by Artist George Johnson. MATERIAL: Hand Painted Bone China. PIECE NAME: Set of 6 Cabinet Plates, each decorated with a different Gamebird. Snipe, Partridge, Red Grouse, Ptarmigan, and Woodcock (there are two of these with the same image, though there are subtle differences because they are hand painted). CONDITION: 1 Woodcock plate has a few craze lines along with 2 of 3 small scratches.

The other Woodcock and the Ptarmigan have fine line crazing but are otherwise excellent. The Partridge has fine line crazing and a short hairline visible only on the back. Red Grouse looks perfect but seems to have a hairline going through it, though it still has a nice bright ring so it may just be a glaze crack. The Snipe is excellent and free of flaws.
