This set of 6 salad or dessert plates comes from an old New England estate. They were used by the family during special occasions, and these plates appear to have been lightly used, but the blue band and gold decoration is still in very good condition. See condition description for more information.
The cobalt blue detail was applied by hand, using a powder to stipple the band, after which it was fired. This was a painstaking method used to create this look and would eventually be replaced by the airbrush technique years later.
This set does not have a pattern name, but the red number on the bottom was the pattern number. Plates measure 8 in diameter. Rare to find these in such good condition. All items come from a smoke and pet free environment.
