Late 19th Century Royal Worcester W2997 Red Floral & Gold Tea Cup & Saucer Antique British bone china tea cup and saucer. Decorated with a red transfer floral pattern.

With gold gilding along the edge and to the handle of the cup. Marked on the bottom Made For Caldwell Philadelphia with a puce Worcester mark with a crown. This mark was used between 1862 and 1875 without a date code which this does not have; however, it is probably made between 1887 and 1891 and only lacks the date code because of the additional importer's mark around the Worcester mark. Also has a registry number RdNo68548 in red. Registered between 1887 and 1888.

Also marked with the pattern number W2997 in red. Has crazing typical of bone china, some staining, and wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. The cup measures approximately 4 1/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/8 inches tall.

The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
