C1880 Royal Worcester Blue Chintz'Lazy Susan' TEA SET W2297 Collamore & Co NY. Spectacular set whose key piece is an incredible tazza that actually spins around smoothly in both directions.
Probably one of the earliest lazy susan tazza/tray made for Davis Collamore & Co New York a high end retailer. In operation from 1820 to 1887. Imagine this on your sideboard or dining table where each guest can just rotate. The waste bowl can ably be used to store those various packets of sugar, splenda or stevia. The pattern is all over chintz in an ombre bright blue floral to gray leaves trimmed in gold (photo #2).Extremely fine hard to see crazing mainly on the exterior - see the condition report above. Scalloped LAZY SUSAN TRAY/TAZZA that is 4.25 inches tall.
The lip of the tray/tazza is an inch tall to keep everything in place when being spun around. It has a 19.75 inch diameter. The mechanism to spin the tray works very smoothly in both direction - amazing! This one piece weighs 11 pounds and an ounce.
This item will be packed separately for safety. TEAPOT that comfortably holds 5 cups of liquid. Please note again that the lid had been broken in the past and re-glued.
