A beautiful porcelain dessert set consisting of six plates and a compote, each finely decorated with heavy raised enamel painted fruit and raised gold leaves and stems on a transfer pattern of grey blossoms. Similar examples can be found in the Victoria & Albert Museum (see attached screen shot). They are marked Manufactured By The Worcester Royal Porcelain Co. For Richard Briggs Boston, along with the Royal Worcester factory mark and an impressed registry mark for 1879.
9 inches diameter plates with a 9 + 1/2 inch diameter compote that stands 2 inches tall. Condition - Some light age appropriate wear to the gold on the rims, one area of staining on the compote and a small chip along the backside of the rim of one plate, see photos for complete assessment.
