A really nice teabowl shaped cup and saucer made by Worcester in the 18th century. Both pieces are decorated in under glaze blue with a very nice Asian influenced Chinoiserie scene that I have seen being called both La Terre and Mother and Child pattern.
The scenes have lots of detail to them including the lady and the child, some vases filled with fruit and flowers and each piece has a blue trim to the edge. Small design to the inside of the cup.
The set is in superb condition with some very minor use marks. Both are marked with the hatched blue crescent mark underneath as shown - the cup with the letter B and the saucer with the letter R. This mark is only found on pieces decorated in under glaze blue and is not a common one to find.
The cup is 1.875 inches tall and 3.5 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.125 inches in diameter. English England Blue and White tea bowl scenic. If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces like Liverpool, Bow and so on.
