Antique Tea Set 1820s Grainger, Lee & Co Worcester bone china Blue Dragon Teapot

This set is an early example of the popular Blue Dragon pattern first produced by Grainger, Lee & Co in the 1820s. The design was printed onto the china from a hand engraved copper plate and was inspired by a Chinese design of a dragon chasing a flaming pearl amongst the clouds.
Tea pot 14.5 cm tall x 27 cm spout to handle. Milk Jug 12 cm height of handle x 13 cm lip to handle. Lidded sugar bowl 12 cm high x 17 cm handle to handle. Excellent bright white and blue china, Teapot has a crack in base otherwise set is in lovely condition with only light manufacturing defects kiln dust etc.
Expected in china 200 years old. Our offices are based in a lovely old barn conversion near the North Cotswold village of Chipping Campden where every figurine is professionally cleaned and checked under UV light so an accurate condition report can be established before individual items are added to the website.
